This year, the Acts of Kindness Network is inviting the Halton community to “Be an Angel of Hope” and touch the hearts and minds of those with mental illness and share the spirit of the holidays!
How can you Be an Angel of Hope?
We are calling on individuals, families, companies etc. to “adopt” an individual (youth or senior) or a family that has been touched by mental illness. Agencies, respecting the privacy of their clients, are forwarding profiles which are coded for those who wish to purchase a gift(s) for a specific individual or family.
Who will be receiving your Acts of Kindness Wishes?
Since 2002, the Acts of Kindness Network has been blessed with an outpouring of support which has enabled us to touch hearts at Bethany Residence, Canadian Mental Health Association - Halton Region Branch Annual Christmas Parties, ConnectCare, Psychiatric and Mental Health Services of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Home Instead Senior Care, Kidsfest Canada, Salvation Army Lighthouse Shelter, Summit House and Support and Housing Halton. Danielle’s Place has also been added to our list of donation destinations.
