Firefighters Appeal for Toy Donations

The Oakville Firefighters’ toy drive is under way and needs donations of items for boys and girls aged 10-18, plus items for infants.

The Toy Drive is headed by firefighter Grant Lawson and aims to deliver at least 10 days before Christmas.

Every year, for more than 10 years, the Oakville Firefighters Association has collected toys and donations from groups and organizations and distributed them in Oakville and across Halton Region.

Last year more than 40 families were supported directly, as well as the work of organizations such as Big Brothers and Sisters, The Salvation Army, Halton Children’s Aid, Halton Women’s Place, and many other community and church groups.

If you, your office, or group would like to contribute this year, contact Grant Lawson at the Oakville Fire Department at 905.338.7335 or drop off an unwrapped donation at any Oakville Fire station.
