Cooking with Ease: Gastronomic Goodies for Golfers

Yummy steak after an active day

It is one of those days that we all dream about…superb weather and no wind.

After coming home with friends or colleagues after a day on the greens, you start to think about how fast you can come up with refreshments, appetizers and dinner.

Here are Chef Ana’s suggestions:

Do your prep work the night before or in the morning, so you won’t need to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.  That way, all you have to do is entertain your guests once you are back home.

It is very important to have cold drinks ready: beer, white wine or non-alcoholic fruit-punch, to quench your guests’ thirst.

Appetizers

Wild mushroom bruschetta: you can toast the baguette ahead of time and just a couple of minutes in the microware will be sufficient to warm up the mushrooms.  Have the cheese sliced also and you will see how each of these bites are warmly welcomed.

Classy Melon balls and Prosciutto: this dish does not need a sales pitch!

Soup or Salad

Gazpacho: a Spanish bowl of this soup will fill you with energy and will refresh at the same time

Mixed greens, pears, flaxseeds and homemade balsamic vinaigrette: will cool you down.  Click here for four recipes for balsamic vinaigrette.

Entrée

Beef Loin Tenderloin Steak (Filet Mignon): ready to throw on the BBQ, requires no marinating

Salmon Steak: becomes a healthy choice when the summer season arrives.

Dessert

Fruit Sorbet: stimulating and fresh

Any cake, fresh fruits and a touch of ice cream

All can be prepared ahead of time, giving you the benefit of enjoying your company, or, if your time means “a lot to you” we can help you with any of these gatherings. Thus your evening will result in pure enjoyment and complete peace of mind.
