Shopping: Adult Only Stockings

Are you looking for new ideas for Christmas giving this year? As we all get older, there is less and less for others to buy us. Why not buy a "new" Christmas stocking in the receiver’s favourite colour(s) and stuff it with both practical and fun items?

Here are some ideas:

A replacement toothbrush

If they have difficulty brushing, buy them an electric toothbrush
Lip balm in a favourite flavour
A cleansing sponge for shower or bath

For those who enjoy food and drink how about:

A small box of chocolate or a single truffle in a fancy box

Xmas Smarties or toffee
Tim Horton’s coupons
A five pack of tea in a fancy brand
A small package of nuts
Tiny jars of jam
A mini bottle of a favourite liqueur or wine

For something different:

Make a donation in their name to their favourite charity and put the acknowledgement card in the stocking

Just for fun - what about a wind-up toy, like a walking Xmas tree, teddy bear, racing car or plane

You can wrap up all of your purchases and put them into the stocking. Santa paper can be amusing and everyone loves to unwrap presents!

I have seen the joy that comes to other’s eyes when they know how much thought you have put into a gift such as this. Why not bring back the fun of childhood into your Christmas mornings for everyone!
