Grant, who started Still Life in June 2005 was formerly a telecommunications engineer. Downsized from Nortel in July 2001, with time on his hands, he revived a dormant hobby in photography. This plus well developed computer skills led to a passion for restoring photos and creating moving video montages from still photographs. "I was doing it for family and friends and they were touched by what they saw. I took to heart the motto: do what you like and like what you do."

Grant uses a variety of photo and video editing tools to blend still photographs, video clips and music and put the resulting video on DVD.
