Spring has sprung, the grass has riz, do you know where everything is?
If you are like most people, you do not know where everything is, and it is a continual frustration for you and others. On average, people spend 45 minutes a day looking for something (i.e. keys, information, clothes, etc.). That 45 minutes a day, translates into six weeks a year of wasted and frustrated time!
How can you get that time back? Get organized with these tips:
- Choose one space that you would like to organize. Do not start another space until the first is completed.
- Get garbage bags and empty boxes to put all unwanted items to bring to your favourite charity (i.e. Goodwill, Salvation Army).
- Look at each item in the space and decide if you want, need or use it (be ruthless).
- If you answer NO to the above it goes in the bag/box.
- Clean the space before putting things back.
- Put all all like items into containers, drawers or shelving and label them.
- Enjoy your organized space!
- Choose your next project.
You too, can regain that lost time, and use it for other more enjoyable activities.
