- Invite all your friends over to your place for movies and munching on chocolate (or your favourite treat).
- Buy a pack of children’s Valentine’s cards and give one to each of your friends.
- If you are single, be brave…go on a blind date.
- Have a Valentine’s Night party with your grandkids, while their parents go out on a date.
- Or if your parents take care of your children all the time perhaps you should treat them to a special evening out to thank them
- Let your creative spirit soar…spend the evening expressing how you feel through art forms like music, the written word or visual arts.
- Call up a friend that you haven’t seen for a long time, and make plans to get together.
- Investigate a hot new club in town that you’ve been itching to check out.
- Set a romantic mood. Buy valentine confetti at a dollar or party store and cover your dining table.
- Add red candles, dim the lights, pull out your favourite romance music like Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, etc. Do some slow dancing.
- Get some left over rose petals from your florist and create a petal trail to your bedroom.
- Serve food that you can feed to one another like shrimp, chocolate, cheese or meat fondue.
- Buy or make a delicious chocolate dessert and add strawberries for colour.
- Instead of flowers what about giving a heart shaped balloon that says ‘I love you.’ Tie it to their chair or use as a centerpiece.
