On Tuesday, April 8th 2008, the Government tabled amendments to the Food and Drugs Act, as well as introduced the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act to the legislature. Putting the Plan into Action Only a small percentage of businesses behave irresponsibly. The Act will target these businesses aggressively which will enable law-abiding Canadian businesses to compete on a more level playing field. The Action Plan proposes:
