Canada Pension Plan Monthly payment based on how much and for how long you contributed to Canada Pension and/or Quebec Pension Who is Eligible and How to Apply Seniors who (a) are at least 65 years of age: or (b) are between the ages of 60 and 64 years and have stopped working or have earnings below a specified level of income for a period of time. Must have contributed to the pension plan. Must complete an application form to apply. Survivor Benefits Survivor benefits are paid to a deceased contributors estate.
