Legal: The Importance of Estate Services

Here are some tips on how you can continue planning for the future, so that you can enjoy today what is really important.

Estate planning helps you to consider all your life’s acquisitions and arrange their disposition now, or upon your passing, to those persons or institutions which you want to benefit.

Your Will

  • Should be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure it is still appropriate
  • Marriage will revoke an existing will
  • Estate trustees may have moved away
  • Amounts of legacies may be inappropriate in light of your increasing or decreasing assets or because of inflation
  • Beneficiaries may have died, fallen out of favour, or become incapacitated
  • Laws may have changed
  • Children might have grown up to be responsible adults

Attending to your Will and Power of Attorney will afford you and your significant others peace of mind.
