Seminar: Fun, Food and Flexibility Seminar Leaders
Ana Larrauri-Rosato, Ana Personal Chef Born in the Basque region of Spain amidst a culture that relishes great food, Ana desires to delight our palate with many unique specialties from this region, as well as many popular European-inspired dishes. Paella (a rice-based dish laden with vegetables, meats and/or seafood), stuffed red peppers, and even a squid dish immersed in their own dark ink, (a rarity outside of Spain) are passionately prepared. For those less adventurous, Ana creates many traditional favorites such as sultry rack of lamb, rich lasagna with homemade tomato sauce and she even claims to turn non-fish eaters into enthusiasts with her Bacalao a la Vizcaina (Biscayan cod). Tapas are bite sized hors d'oeuvres served in the bars in Spain. The tapa (from the verb “tapar”- to cover) was originally a slice of bread, cured ham or a piece of cheese placed over the top of a wine glass. They have evolved into representing the essence behind taking the time out to enjoy a tasty bite with friends. As tapas are only just recently being sampled in Toronto, try this well-kept secret from an authentic chef as a perfect way to accompany a glass of wine, perhaps while entertaining friends. Make no mistake about it; a personal chef is not a catering service. A personal chef is just that, personal in the truest sense of the word. Ana consults with her clients to learn what they really find mouth-watering before preparing sample menus to choose from. She does the grocery shopping picking only the best, freshest ingredients and lugs all her kitchen gadgetry to your home. And, under your very own eyes and noses, Ana creates the specialized and luscious menu for your enjoyment. What you are left with is a satisfied palate and a sparkling cleaned kitchen. What could be better than enjoying a fantastic meal without having to get finicky over what to make or where to go, get dressed up, hire babysitters and lose your appetite in the process. Personal Chef Service brings back the pleasure of great food. And with great food comes even greater flexibility. Ana Personal Chef Service provides a multitude of options: meal plans, romantic dinners, and a dinner party where you actually get to attend to your guests. Whatever the occasion Ana Personal Chef Service will surpass any expectations. Ana teaches at Loblaws across the different stores in the West-end of the GTA. She also participated in the 2005 Wine & Food Toronto Show. It’s never been a better time to follow Ana’s advice and motto, “reclaim your right to culinary delight!” Contact Information Phone: 416.575.2410 - - - - - - Margaret Smith, Cook-2-Go Chef Margaret displayed a talent for cooking from an early age, preparing multiple-course meals for family and friends as a teen in Winnipeg.
